Light and Libations

Physics researchers will present mini-talks about light, produce impressive light-based demonstrations, highlight campus research, and display art projects with a light theme. Following the presentations, they will be on hand to enjoy libations with the community and talk one on one. The event is part of Science on Tap, a series of outreach activities to encourage members of the community to come and meet UWindsor researchers and get a glimpse into the campus research. Light and Libations was inspired by this year’s inaugural International Day of Light (IDL), a global initiative that provides an annual appreciation of light and the role it plays in science, culture and art, education, and sustainable development. Tickets are available online at windsor.snapd.com for $10, which includes entrance and one beer. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on May 24, 2018 at the Walkerville Brewery, 525 Argyle Road.
